Pierre-Jean Vouette

Senior Policy Advisor @ International Association of Insurance Supervisors

Since 2014, Pierre-Jean Vouette is a Senior Policy Advisor at the International Association of Insurance Supervisors (IAIS).  Before joining IAIS, he spent 4 years as a Special Adviser to the Chair and Executive Director of the European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority (EIOPA). Before joining EIOPA, he worked for 15 years for the French Insurance supervisory authority where he started as an on-site Insurance Supervisor before moving to management positions – including being responsible for all the reporting, data analysis and IT departments – and becoming a member of the Executive Committee. Over the last 10 years, he has been constantly involved in the development of policy measures aiming to better assess the risks stemming from financial institutions, first in the context of the European Solvency II regulatory reform, and currently on the broader scope of shaping international standards (BCR, ICS, HLA). Pierre-Jean Vouette hold an engineering diploma in computer science and applied mathematics from the ENSIMAG, an MBA from the ESSEC management school and a Master degree from the ENSAE where he studied actuarial science, econometrics, statistics and finance.
